Our Team

Kristy joined HAMHC in May of 2012 and does everything she can do to help. She loves knowing that many individuals and families have a place to call home through the programs administered at HAMHC. She feels blessed to have staff that is like family and together, the agency has the ability to determine the best practices to support the community.

Her favorite quote is, “At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can,” by Frida Kahlo. She enjoys spending time with her family and children, taking road trips with her fiancé, and watching their kids grow up. The values that drive her are making a difference in someone’s life, being reliable, accepting change, and striving to be better every day.

Kristy is an asset to HAMHC with her 10 years of housing experience. She started as the Executive Assistant, then a case manager, and even a tenant of Public Housing. She can relate to the difference the programs make and enjoys providing support to our Malheur & Harney County communities.

Margo has been with the Agency since 2002.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Idaho and has over 30 years of experience in accounting.  Margo is motivated by the mission of protecting and developing essential affordable housing.

The values that drive her are compassion, kindness and hard work.   When she is not at the office, she enjoys her family, friends, pets, photography and gardening.

JoAnne oversees all the aspects of managing the numerous projects owned by HAMHC. For over 25 years at HAMHC, she has enjoyed watching the children grow up and has a vast amount of housing training and certifications. She joined HAMHC back in February of 1997.

Her favorite quote is, “It’s not dying I’m talking about it’s living,” by Autustice McCrean in Lonesome
Dove. She enjoys reading and being with family.

Aric joined the team in March 2020. As a program manager, Aric provides assistance for qualifying families through the HCV Program and inspects units to ensure they meet Housing Quality standards. He enjoys being able to provide assistance to families in need and help them secure housing, as well as working with other community agencies and area landlords.

While he is away from the office, his hobbies include riding motorcycles, working on classic cars and motorcycles, doing charity events in the community, camping, attending outdoor concerts, and spending time with his family.

Aric’s favorite quote is, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right,” by Henry Ford. His motto is, “Treat others as you would like to be treated.” Aric brings his experience and skills from holding an Oregon Contractors License, Certified HCV Occupancy Standards Inspector, former Oregon & Idaho Realtor, and being named the Oregon Property Manager of the Year in 2016.

Mari joined the team July of 2021. She manages HCV Participant files, conducts HQS inspections, and provides support services needed in the Spanish language. Being able to provide many families with the service of rent assistance brings her joy. Her favorite quote is “Life isn’t how to survive the storm, it’s about how to dance in the rain,” by Taylor Swift.

She has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies; Consisting of a Minor in Communication & Anthropology/Sociology. The values that drive her are learning, work ethic, perseverance, integrity, and determination.

Amber joined the team in August 2021. She is the direct point of contact for all applicants, office visitors, and phone calls. In her free time, she enjoys taking road trips, working in the yard, cooking, and spending time with her husband and kids.

Amber brings many skills from her years of providing exceptional customer service. Her core values are kindness, growth, balance, gratitude, and curiosity.

“I’m ME & that’s all I need to be!!!” is her own favorite personal quote. Amber enjoys hits from the ’70s and ’80s, Joe Rogan’s podcast, watching Housewives, books by Janet Evanowich, and loves bright colors.

Ron joined HAMHC in July 2010 and provides maintenance to HAMHC’s numerous properties. The work he does is satisfying and his co-workers are like his family. His favorite quote is by Tarzan, “Men are strange beasts.” His favorite color is blue.

Ron brings many skills acquired from the School of Hard Knocks with him. The values that drive him are his family and the desire to do the best he can.

While he is not working, he spends his time camping, fishing, playing his guitar, playing his x-box, songwriting, and spending time with his family. He has a vast collection of Tarzan books, and his favorite song is “Against the Wind” by Bob Seger.

Carlos joined HAMHC in May 1983 and provides maintenance to all of the organization’s properties. Through the years, his favorite aspect of his job is the variety of duties, as they change from day to day.

Carlos has a passion for woodworking, although he doesn’t do it so much anymore. He lives by the motto, “Give respect to get respect.”

When Carlos is not at work you can find him relaxing, doing yard work, or staying busy helping others with their projects.

Rick joined HAMHC in July 2021. Rick brings with him a background in construction and maintenance tech, and for the past 10 years he has been providing maintenance to affordable housing units and continues to do so at HAMHC. He also conducts grounds maintenance for all of HAMHC’s units.

The most rewarding aspect of working at HAMHC for Rick is that he feels like the staff is one big family and he enjoys the atmosphere. His favorite quote is “Man makes the money, money doesn’t make the man,” by Thomas A. Dorsey. Rick values family and that is what drives his daily activities.

Rick was named Maintenance Manager of the Year in 2016 and 2019. When he is not working, he spends his time bowling, fishing, hunting, riding his side-by-side, or being outdoors in with his family. His favorite color is black. He has an old coin collection, and his hobby is RC Cars.
